Provides meals to the elderly in a central dining location and delivers meals to those confined to their homes. The goal is to enhance mental, emotional and     physical health through good nutrition, positive health habits and interaction with others.

Helps inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

3. CODINGTON COUNTY SEARCH & RESCUE 882-6210
Provides a trained team of volunteers ready for search and dive rescue or for recovery of persons and evidence, and promotion of water safety.

4.  Courage Center

A regional rehabilitation and resource center for people with physical disabilities, brain injuries, speech or vision impairments, or hearing loss. A wide range of programming is designed to empower people with disabilities to reach their full potential in every aspect of life. www.courage.org.

5.  D.A.R.E. 882-6210
Drug Abuse Resistance Education, taught by Watertown police officers, helps educate our sixth graders about drug abuse and violence, and how to say no.

7.  GIRL SCOUT of NYODA COUNCIL 886-7768
Over 370 local girls, ages 5-17, learn to set goals, make decisions, contribute to society, develop healthy values and increase their self-esteem through partnership with over 70 trained adult volunteers.

9. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY 884-0366
Exists to help people help themselves out of the cycle of rent-subsidized living. Their aim is to create an environment of hope, dignity and a truly human existence for each member of the families they serve.

11. IMAGINATION LIBRARY 882-6220
This program provides one book a month to your child until their 5th birthday. The books are mailed directly to the child's home.

12.  ICAP - CODINGTON COUNTY OFFICE SUPPORT 256-6518
Primarily serves low-income families and senior citizens in a 12-county area of east central South Dakota.

13.  ICAP - EARLY HEAD START INCENTIVE PROGRAM 886-7674
Works with families to provide quality early childhood services for infants, toddlers and pregnant women. Parents earn incentive points which are redeemed for daily family living items.

14.  KIDSCOPE 886-6666
Before and After School Activities Program is available at elementary schools for students in grades K-6 until 6:30 p.m. The before school program is held at the Boys and Girls Club starting at 6:30 a.m. Summer programs are also offered.

15.  LAKE AREA CHILD PROTECTION TEAM 882-5050
Dedicated to education and program development and directed at protecting children from abuse and neglect by promoting educational awareness.

16.  LAKE AREA ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETY 882-6269

 17.  LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICES 882-2740
Means "strengthening individuals, families and communities" for all area people, regardless of religious affiliation. LSS provides mental health counseling,          consumer credit counseling, therapeutic groups, family life education, employee assistance programs and business seminars.

18.  MENTORING MOMS 886-1554
Matches young pregnant or parenting individuals with an experienced, volunteer mentor mother who offers friendship, support and advocacy. Promotes access to health, financial, and educational services.

19.  NE GLACIAL LAKES AREA AMERICAN RED CROSS 886-3420
Provides disaster service, Armed Forces emergency service, and health and safety courses, organizes Meals on Wheels drivers, and hosts three Bloodmobiles per year.

20.  SENIOR COMPANIONS OF SD 882-5003
Volunteers provide elderly individuals friendship and fee assistance with daily activities to help them remain independent in their own homes and prevent premature entry into a nursing home.

21.  SIOUX COUNCIL BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA 886-5337

23.  WATERTOWN AREA CAREER LEARNING CENTER 882-5080
Provides a variety of pre-employment training such as one-on-one career counseling, assistance with written communication (resume, cover letter and application), career assessment, interview practice, Job Hunting Tips Workshop, labor market information, and short-term training (clerical skills, computer classes, conversational Spanish, production wire-feed welding, etc.). Helps children develop life skills. Registration expenses, out-of-town entry fees and swimming equipment are provided for area youth.

Provides dependable, affordable public transportation to the people in the Watertown area by the coordination of needs and resources. Let us take the worry out of your transportation needs.

Provides a hot meal for the hungry and lonely. Volunteers are equipped to recognize and acknowledge the needs of the community to share in caring for the lonely and feeding the hungry.

Provides a positive and enjoyable experience for all players the Association oversees, providing competitive opportunities resulting in prosperous teams at all levels.

Serves as a contact point for volunteer needs in Watertown. People who are interested in volunteering or agencies that need volunteers can utilize the Volunteer Center to meet their needs.

Develops and delivers a quality soccer program which builds character through participation in a fun and family environment. Youth receive education in proper soccer play and techniques along with learning good sportsmanship.

Provides a 24-hour crisis line (605-886-4300 or 1-800-660-8014) to victims of abuse, domestic violence shelter, rape crisis services, peer and professional counseling, information and referral, education and training, support groups, Johnny Appleseed children's groups and more.

Exists to help youth, ages 11-18, be a part of slow pitch softball. It gives youth the chance to meet new friends and improve softball skills with equal playing time and safe equipment.
