Mission Statement: The Watertown Area United Way is non-profit community based volunteer organization who purpose is to assist in meeting in human care needs.
Watertown Area United Way and Brown Clinic would like to invite staff to LIVE UNITED. Please stand by your local United Way and their 41 local agency programs by giving towards the 2021-2022 campaign. In 2022, United Way will financially support 41 different agency programs who support United Way's three key focus aeas: Health, Education, and Financial Stability. United Way agencies stand by those who need them most by meeting human care needs. Beacon Center stands by domestic violence victims in times of crisis to help teach life skills, provide upport, and avocate for victims. Watertown Swim Club stands by swimmers with scholarships so that youth are not denied from living a healhty lifestyle and learning life saving skills. LATC Adult Education & Literacy Program stnads by adult learners to help them earn their GED or even freshen up on math and reading skills. To see a list of agency programs please click here. As a Brown Clinic employee you are able to give via payroll deduction, make an online donation on the United Way website, be billed at home, or mail your cash/check donation to United Way at P.O. Box 283, Watertown, SD 57201. To be billed at home your pledge must be a minimum of $200. Since the 2004-2005 Campaign Brown Clinic staff have given over $100,000 towards United Way annual campaigns. The top three campaigns with the most given were 2006, 2005, and 2009 campaigns. From 2019 to 2020, Brown Clinic saw employee giving grow by 730% from a $1,000 total to a $5,000 total!
To qualify for the Montgomery's $5,000 Room Makeover you must be a Heart Club donor or become one, give $52 or more for the first time, or increase your giving from last year to this year by $52 or more. Please see the examples below on how your donation can make a difference.
