Job Title: Community Engagement & Administrative Coordinator (Part-Time)

Position Overview

The Watertown Area United Way is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and community-focused individual to become our Community Engagement & Administrative Coordinator. This part-time opportunity is perfect for those who are eager to make a positive impact, enjoy interacting with a diverse range of people, and possess excellent organizational and communication capabilities. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our administrative operations, marketing endeavors, and fundraising initiatives, while also serving as a prominent ambassador for United Way within the community.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive administrative support, including tasks such as data entry, scheduling, filing, and managing donor communications.
  • Contribute to marketing and communication activities by creating social media content, drafting newsletters, and updating the website.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of annual fundraising campaigns, events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Facilitate volunteer engagement and donor recognition programs.
  • Act as a representative for Watertown Area United Way at community events, meetings, and in interactions with partner organizations.
  • Keep organized records for campaigns, funding applications, and communications.
  • Provide support to the Executive Director with various tasks as needed.

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Self-driven, reliable, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A strong passion for community service and alignment with United Way's mission.
  • Prior experience in nonprofit settings, marketing, or administrative roles is preferred.

Position Details

  • Part-Time Commitment: Approximately 15–25 hours per week.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Some evening or weekend work may be necessary for events.
  • Compensation: Based on experience.
  • Location: Watertown, SD
