Watertown Area United Way wraps up campaign and $5,000 Room Makeover

Wrap Up

United Way of Watertown officially wrapped up its 2022 - 2023 campaign at Montgomery's Furniture Wednesday April 26th, 2023. Thank you to the Sinclair Family and Montgomery's Furniture for hosting our event this year. Although they fell short of their overall goal at 80%, they still received excellent community support.

This year saw the exit of Executive Director Laura Hoiten and the hire of Laura Heathcote. We are excited for the upcoming campaign year and appreciate the outpouring support from our community members. Part of the wrap-up also included introducing the new President, Assistant Police Chief of the Watertown Police Department, Ryan Remmers. Board members were recognized, including Melisa Terronez, the Vice President; Mark Reierson, the Treasurer; and Melissa Herrboldt, the Secretary. Other members include Jason Hutt, Josh Hogue, Traci Rabine, Joey Patek, Eric Beutler, and three new board members, including Sean Melmer, Grace Tschakert, and Mitch Koehn. Outgoing board members included Cory Herzog and Randy Tupper.

Over 200 businesses support the United Way every year.
